You are right of course. And this is only his 5-th rally in WRC car. What I mean is his speed is great in this stage considering his statement before the rally that he will not pushing and want to finish the event and would be nice if can continue to drive with this speed.

It will be interesting to see how the Ostberg/M-Sport dynamic continues over the year. If it continues like this it doesn't bode well. Just seems to be an air of negativity. Malcolm is normally a fairly honest, outspoken team boss so he will call Mads out for his performances.
Reminds me slightly of when they brought Hirvonen back in 2014 and expected him to be rejuvenated. Pretty clear that just wasn't going to happen.RS Motorsport Media - Follow me on Instagram: rsmotorsportmedia

Now, let´s be happy about Camilli and hope he´ll make this rally completed. I´ve been sceptic too about hiring a complete newbie to WRC. But now it looks good atm. Mads as said is good 2nd driver in team. Maybe that fulfills now...

Heavy loses for Ogier on this one by almost everyone apart from Ostberg who is nothing.

Ostberg with gearshift problems, obvious from 3rd split.

There's been one before, the McRae R4... https://dirtfish.com/rally/the-one-off-mcrae-rally-car-designed-for-pure-driving/ Would we be happy seeing bespoke cars like this in WRC ?
