Talking 2 CTS drivers called to Nextel Cup

Jeremy Mayfield jumped from the driver's seat of the #36 BDR Nextel Cup Toyota
to the driver's seat of the Haas #66 Chevrolet upon Jeff Green's dismissal.

With 4 races left in the 2007 Nextel Cup season ...
Bill Davis Racing has called upon their Truck Series drivers to take-up the slack :
Mike Skinner will drive the #36 BDR Nextel Cup Toyota @ Atlanta & Texas.
Johnny Benson Jr will drive the #36 BDR Nextel Cup Toyota @ Phoenix & Homestead.

Johnny Benson Jr last raced in Nextel Cup @ Richmond this year, May 6th, he finished 31st.
He is most remembered for driving the Roush Racing #26 Cheerios Ford.
Benson did score a Winston Cup victory in 2002 @ Rockingham.

Mike Skinner last competed in Nextel Cup @ 4 races in 2006 but he was in low-budget cars ...
Michigan 37th, (last car on the lead lap)(race was shortened due to rain)
    Indianapolis 37th, (1 lap down)
    Charlotte 43rd, crashed
    Martinsville 39th, crashed
Mike Skinner is most remembered for driving the Childress #31 Lowes Chevrolet.
Skinner won an exhibition Cup race in Japan while with Childress.
However Mike never scored a points earning Cup race.
Mike Skinner was the 1st Craftsman Truck Series Champion in 1995.
Skinner currently leads the Truck Series points & is in an intense points battle ...
he has traded the points lead back & forth with Ron Hornaday Jr this year.

My hope is that Bill Davis Racing finds some extra speed for his Toyotas ...
(like the horsepower that Michael Waltrip Racing has shown lately)

Skinner did win a Gatorade 125 in Daytona in #31 Lowe's car in 2001.
I'm choosing Joey Logano as my avatar. I feel he is a worthy ally.
