Now that 2024 is over, I must once again say , thank you, thank you, Thank You, for playing along. I appreciate every one of you for sticking with this.

As you might have already heard, our winner this year is little 'ol me, thanks to something I choose actually working.

Second place was won by a team that hounded our first place winner all season, F1nKS Agent Wu!

Third place was won by a team that goaded their group to stay ahead of Team Wise Guy, and succeeded - airshifter's Loco Americano F1!

Hulk was the only thing that preserved a podium for me, and just as a reminder.... y'all Red Bull based teams got HULK'D again at the season ending race!

Well played N. Jones and F1nKS for seeing the McLarens coming on strong. Once it started happening there was no slowing it down.

With the teams converging so much on the current rule set it's almost a shame we only have one year left of the current rule set and cars. Picking the right team for 2025 might be a total crap shoot, at least 3 or 4 teams will be in the hunts.


As usual N. Jones, thanks for the effort in keeping FGP going. It was looking like it might die years ago until you stepped up and took the initiative and effort to keep us entertained with it. And after all the years of our smack talk, antics, and whining, it's only fair that you finally whooped our butts this year.

A side note - I think I found some of the past overall standings on my PC. I am not sure if I have the teams for every season, nor do I think I have every season since I took over running FGP. I will go through what I have an add a History/Archive page to the site over the F1 break.

If you have any gaps in the history let me know. I think I could search the forums for some of the old years, if nothing else the podium finishers or something. I'm not sure if any of us still here did well back in earlier years, but I think Tazio had teams back in the early 2000's at least. Now I'm curious how poorly Starter did.

IIRC I participated back before N. Jones took things over from Arrows for a couple of years. Then fell out and didn't bother with forums much and returned later. I think my Loco Americano name was actually inspired by Perez.... so 2011 or so I guess. Maybe.

And I think Tazzy did get a three peat, was going for a fourth. And a couple others over the years have had multiple podiums I think. And if I dig hard.... I think there was a person that posted one single time on the forum to enter a team and won runner up that year!
