Hopefully the anti cut blocks for this event is not the new standard, went to pick one up and had to put my hand under it, must be close to 20kg. One day we will have a serious accident because of them.

Exactly, i consider these as super stupid and dangerous solution. They change trajectory and flow of the road, the drivers must be in additional stress bcs of those items. There must be better solutions how to minimize cutting. If the road owner wants to have them, then do not make the rally or be innovative. That thing can flip the car up with big consequences.

For sure he was saying this. But on the other hand, he wanted to win the rally also. He was pushing a lot

So what did we learn from this rally? Than an old under-developed Polo GTi R5 is better than latest spec C3 Rally2?

No. We have learned that almost all R5 cars are fast and it is mainly about driver (and setup).

    What other solutions are better?

The simplest solution is to just not hit them...
