J4MIE, I was nodding my head when I read your Safari Rally stories - been there, done that with two lower order teams on two WRCs in two different countries! Eg, how about having to recce several daylight stages in total darkness or having a swamp for a service area when the big boys were all on high ground? Don't get me started on paperwork & scrutineering issues!

I notice that, after his puncture, Seb is now in last place on the leaderboard, 20 secs behind the Daihatsu Copen (which has a 30 sec penalty!). Admittedly this morning was an extreme case, though maybe the notional times calculation needs more tweeking. Anyway, let's hope the rally gets back on the rails, this afternoon.

They are not running ss7 now because Breen took down a guard rail, shortened 5 because of Sordo
