One thing does not exclude the other, one can be a great driver and being a lucky man as well. When he managed to win Croatia after that shunt with the BMW and the problems with the police, or when he wasn't DQ'd in Sardegna few years ago because Tanak brought him his time card... was he lucky or was it because "he knew something more"?
In any case, this season was close to perfect for Ogier, no technical troubles at all and only one big mistake in Arctic. Well done to him, deserved title and now he can retire from full-time drive as a champion, like another great WRC champion did few years ago.

Cograts to Ogier-Ingrassia,well deserved title,truly among the best of all time.
He still has the best package overall as a driver.

To me it sounds as if Hyundai has already made the decision and if next year’s cars are anything different to what we’ve had since 2022 they are out, end of story.
WRC main class in 2025
