They most probably know, but it's become clear that they follow some rules/procedure particularly when an ambulance enters the stage. When it happens, we always get this bizarre situation where they pretend nothing is happening. Like last rally, there was no mention of Meeke crashing on the Power Stage from the commentators. First the viewer heard of it was Molly referencing it in one of her stage end interviews. The commentators didn't really react to it coming off the back of that, they started acting like they were surprised...

So it's no accident, it's obviously their policy to not say anything.

It is bizarre for that reason, they must know that most of the audience watching WRC+ will know how to get information from other sources, but they obviously like to heavily control their own narrative. Like AL14 says, they are the voice of the Promoter, not journalists.

Sounds stupid, but could it be an attempt to give "all live" feeling for those who are not following rally so actively. Well, probably those persons will not watch all live anyway
