Ok, this is a bit exaggerating, but theoretically no less than eight works teams have entered! VW and Hyundai for sure, Citroen and Ford aren't really works but the manufacturers are involved anyway, Skoda and Peugeot in WRC2 and Renault Sport and Opel in two-wheel-drive category.

Breen needs Germany and Geramny needs Breen... That is why i hate with a passion this limited program bullshit.

A driver needs constant rally time to develop, Breen has the momentum from Finland and Germany would suit him perfectly.

    and no Meeke as well.

    Germany is moving next year.

Probably why they opted to skip it: limited gains.

I don't either. VW is not optimized for tarmac, it's more a gravel car. It's just so powerful it has dominated tarmac events in the past years. I think the winner chances are 75% Sordo, 20% Neuville and 5% someone else.

Well, germany now is Lefebvres chance to shine. Although i think based on poland and finland the choice has been made in citroen that Breen will partner Meeke.

Polo is very much based on Fabia S2000 (the suspension scheme aside of different damper supplier is basically same) and that one was arguably the best asphalt car at least for rough asphalts in central Europe. I would say that it's better to say that VW drivers prefer gravel (including Ogier) than that the car isn't so good on asphalt.
