And Messi retires at 29 from his national team. One can ask how commited was he anyway when he retires so early?

If your saw how emotional he was after each loss. It clearly means a lot.
Plus many others have retired. Mascherano, Aguero and others. Apparently in protest at the Argentine FA. Which is such a shambles that FIFA is running it.

I don't know the details but it's strange when players retire before they even turn 30. I imagine it's every players dream to win a World Cup and Argentina is there... they have the team to win it... or at least had it. And without any major injuries he could actually go for it twice. If I were in his shoes I couldn't let go.
