Pretty dull again, If only that engine failure had come on both the Mercs
    Kimi's start

5/10 - at least it was Monza and not some Tilkecrap.

3/10 - nothing particularly interesting about this race.

Tilke gets an awful lot of stick but lets not forget he designed the Austin circuit which, imo, is one of the best additions to the calendar in the last twenty years. Very often Tilke is given a limited area in which to design a track and told he has to do it in this small confine so there's not always a lot of variability that he can do. Turkey was also a really good track he designed.

Not all of them are perfect but I think he's done reasonably well over all, the exception being the abomination that is Abu Dhabi.

I have attended several races in Austin, from MotoGP to WEC. The only Austin races that I thought were dull was the Australian V8 supercars races, and that's ok because V8SC fans have been saving for years that what makes their series special is all those quirky racetracks in Australia. Every V8SC race on an F1 track (besides perhaps Australia) has been dull.

Indeed, the only reason why I watched the entire race.

Back from the Temple. In a nutshell:

    Racing
    - Boring F1 race
+ Kimi's passes. We were in the right place to see most of them
    - Sound
+ GP2 races (with proper noise!). These guys are reckless. Both races had everything: non stop fights, last minute overtakes, incidents, safety cars, etc
+ GP3 / Porsche cup were fun to watch

    Fans
+ Great atmosphere created by the Tifosi. Good behaviour too.
    + Hordes of Kimi fans
    - Most almost drunk by noon
+ Many Ericsson fans (surprised by the support he enjoys)

    Highlights
    + Podium ceremony
+ After the race the spectators are allowed to enter the track for ceremony. Then they can freely walk around the the circuit. We completed a full lap in about 1:05 hours on foot
+ Italian track commentator. Who the hell this guy is? He's fantastic!

    Other
    + Pizza / pasta

    Verdict: highly recommended

I saw a one hour highlights package more than 24 hours after the race had been run and won. Given that Bernie worships the great god Dollar more than he cares about the people who might consume the "product" you have to ask yourself the question as to why crowds are falling in Europe and the fact is that all answers point to Bernie.

I hope that Italy goes. I hope that Ferrari quits. I hope that Red Bull pulls up stumps and I hope that F1 collapses into a giant heap.

I also hope that what rises out of the ashes, is something which will be seen on free-to-air telly and that Bernie is exiled to Titan.
The Old Republic was a stupidly run organisation which deserved to be taken over. All Hail Palpatine!
