    A bit less than 100 entries. Impressive. And it's on all tarmac rounds that there's so many crews. A message for WRC ?

    Same phenomena could have been observed in IRC/ERC. Asphalt rounds have almost always more entries. The two most-popular events of this season Barum and Ypres are asphalt too.

    The reason is in fact simple. Large majority of European rallies is held on asphalt roads. Therefore most of the teams have only asphalt parts for their cars (those are cheaper as well). Competing on other surfaces is a huge oncost for them.
