The point dimvii wants to make it that it doesn't need to cover all that, you can get away with a bit less wide angle lens, and keeping the lens position equal.
Definitely it is a delicate selection of lens used and positioning of the camera. But if someone with limited resources as SubaruNorway can do it, for sure RedBullMedia can do that too!

To see how the image changes when decreasing the field of view - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KItJRr9Hlo
You can't keep the same position for Wide and Narrow. Well you can, but you'll see a lot less.
SubaruNorway, the video of Grondal is with the medium FOV?Never stop dreaming because one day it might happen.

Yeah it's medium mounted to the front edge of the co drivers seat in both. You have a narrow setting on the GoPro too but i never tried it for inboard, you would then probably have the edge of the frame just at the A pillars and not much speed sensation but of course better details of the road.
This is medium with a manfrotto super clamp and 25cm extension arm mounted to the cage 10cm back from the front edge of the seat. As you can see some vibration so welding my own heavy duty extension arm
Low light that day so i think that's why the quality is not that good.

Halle-sodding-lujah, at last.
I'm not in on Thursday evening; do any regular users know how long after a live stage it's usually made available to watch for subscribers?aka Rodger Davies

Nonsense indeed when you even yourself admit they cite other publications… I wish them well but at the moment I don’t see them adding any value writing the same articles but this is my problem ...
