Rolex 24
In the upcoming Rolex 24, which team is going to be on top? The field is awesome, and the Daytona track is pretty challenging. I'm hoping for a win by these guys, even though they are up against some stiff competition.

They put on a good show this last year, winning the ALMS, we'll see how the new cars and drivers perform.

Re: Rolex 24
Well, there are four classes. With the blended prototype class, I'll still go with one of the Ganassi cars, In GT LeMans, I've got to go with the Corvettes. Other than that, it's a 24 hour race, and a lot can happen. There will one team in each class that runs fast and pretty much trouble free, and that will be the winning car.

Re: Rolex 24
I agree with being a long race. The corvettes look stunning. But it will be down to the last car standing.

Re: Rolex 24
OK, here's my predictions:
Prototype - #01, Ganassi Racing
Prototype Challenge - #7, Starworks
GT LeMans - #56 BMW Team RLL
GT Daytona - #22, Alex Job Racing
There's a 5K footrace Saturday morning. I predict that I will finish it, but won't win my class (age group)."Risk sweetens everything" - Peter Revson (1939 - 1974)

Re: Rolex 24
I got a call from the ticket office today. They wanted to make sure I knew the start time had been changed. I thought that was very nice of them.

Re: Rolex 24
In the main prototype class, I think that Ganassi, Taylor, Spirit of Daytona, Extreme Speed and Pickett are the main contenders.
In GTLM, Corvette, Porsche and BMW have the best chances. But SRT, Falken, Risi and Aston Martin are also candidates.
Among those candidates, the race will be decided by reliability and crashes.Nitropteron - Fly fast or get crushed!

Some bizzare incidents at the chicane coming off the banking earlier. I guess there must have been some oil down.
Scott Dixon looking good, but only a 15 odd second lead so plenty of scope for some disasters.I still exist and still find the forum occasionally. Busy busy
Tänak got 20 points closer to Evans, but as the main reason was a bad rally for Evans, I would say that Evans lost 20 points to Tänak, not Tänak gained. The point is, if the other one does not...
