    Top 15 in $$$'s

Is the standard deal for prize money still 40% for the driver and 60% for the rest of the team?

Does not include salary, endorsements, or other income.

No one really knows for sure as NASCAR is the only sport in America, at least, that does not make at least a summary of a "players" contract public. I have heard ranges of just a basic salary (unknown amount) with the owner keeping the whole race purse all the way to the other end of the spectrum of no salary, but the driver keeps the whole purse, to a smattering of everything in between. I've seen educated guesses from some "in the know" media members of drivers getting paid 1-2 million dollars a year salary and 25-30 % of the race money as a bonus, but I don't believe anyone but the driver's agent and the owner's financial guru really know for sure what a driver makes. I'm not even sure most of the drivers really know what they make, TBH.
