opps, I meant 1952 anyway - thanks! It was a fairly easy one to deduce - I was pretty confident that it was the Belanger Special Oike the one that Lee Wallard won with in 1951 - so after that it was just a matter of finding when the Belanger and #1 were together and who the driver was... Amazing that just before the roadsters started their run that a straight out dirt track car won the 500.... great photo!
ok, here's the next.... you only have ot et the clearly visible car, track, year, driver.....

Everything is right except the track - although you are in the right size and configuration range....
I think you are probably right about Fernandez - but it is kind of blurry to tell for sure and I was not sure if the Herdez car had similar colors....
