Even though I'm no longer a Ferrari fan, I've always thought their F1 cars were usually quite beautiful. But upon seeing that picture, I threw up in my mouth... just a little bit. Hideous! As ugly as these 2012 F1 cars are, they damn well better be fast. Goodus griefus.

I can't say that I was initially a fan of the design-by-committee Indy Car (see, I've even stopped saying "IRL"!), but that Lotus is QUITE sharp.

I'd rather have the F1 car.

The new Indycar looks like it doesn't know if it wants to be an open wheeler or a sportscar. They might as well have Hot Wheels as the title sponsor.

I'll admit to thinking the DW12 was ugly and bulky on first viewing, but it has grown on me. Doubly so, having seen it in the Lotus colours (well, JPS colours if we're being picky), as I think that looks pretty fetching. The rear does look a bit fussy, but it's driven by a genuine requirement (as the DW code sadly attests), so I can live with it. The F1 nose stuff however doesn't seem to serve any real purpose beyond being able to meet new rules with minimum compromise to the rest of the car. I can understand why the teams have done it, as they're not about to completely change design philosophy, but it's still hideous. FIA better change the regulations in order to stop this design nonsense.
