Retired after SS4. Technical reason. At the time he was second in class, 2,9 seconds behind Hautamäki.

And Lappi wins it. I'd say first driver ever to win all rounds of Finnish championship. Time for him to move on.

I don't think that will be much of a problem for him since he has the same management as Andreas Mikkelsen.

Skoda Motorsport gave him a drive for Rally Poland. That means that their cooperation may continue the next year(s). Pity that it's again a Fabia S2000 and not another car (Peugeot or Fiesta).

Everybody says "suspension and tires must have improved a lot since...last week 10 years---GpB days...whatever" But I kknow what the GpB cars then for suspension, and I know the top modern cars have bigger and longer travel struts, but I believe the average F-cup guy has very similar suspenders to what then GpB guy had---not better.. (40mm inverted struts and about 200-210mm travel). Tires same, more people now had what was then the top stuff. What do you think?

The last championship round in Kerava was a lot of fun. Some of the stages weren't very challenging, but the close fight with Lindroos and Korhonen was a lot of fun. More about the rally in my blog Rally Co-driver: Talotekniikka10 ralli 15th of September 2012, Kerava

I Think Pasi Hagstrom did it also in 1999 with WRC Corolla, so not the first ever. But nevertheless a great job from young champion
