in you case ages must mean a few months then.... because occasional suprises always happened in the sport.

Yeah occasional suprises always happen in rallying, but this is like a sustained surprise now. Novikov has been a revelation, while Ostberg here and Delecour in Monte Carlo showed top quality pace on more than one occasion. Not since Stohl and Henning in the whales have supposedly '2nd class' drivers shown such good pace as far as I remember. Early days but I hope these type of drivers continue to push the top 5 a bit.

Ogier is 14s quicker than Ketomaa on split 4 on SS8. He must have some serious problems with the car. Can't just be the tires.
