I think Quali should be only for the wrc cars. Difference between 14th and 22nd will not be big but he can end up being first (or one of the first) on the road, then it will be 25-30 cars back to teammate Mikkelsen.

Definitely not only WRC cars. It is for all P1 and P2 drivers (21 here in Sweden). Ogier is among them thanks to his overall victories in last year.

Important point. Not only would you want the right road position. It has to be right in relation to getting known lines in front of you. You want some of the faster drivers, in front you. Not so easy to do if you pick your spot first.

    According to the regulations:
Competitors will choose their start position for the rally according to the results of the Qualifying stage.
30.8.1 The fastest driver will choose his position first, then the second, followed by the third etc.
That means all P1 and P2 drivers to me.

I know, I ment the rules should read "P1 and P2 drivers driving an wrc car". As they are now we could end up with an Fiesta N3 or something first on the road...

Not possible, rules say that P2 driver must drive WRC/S2000/R4

Do you think Nobre will start as first tomorrow? :-D (You know, he will be the last to choose his start position) Then it would be very funny :-D
