As a fellow bassist, I agree. Especially fretless bass guitars... I also think upright basses are cool as well. To me, playing bass is like dating different women: It's refreshing to have variety sometimes. Also, it's fun to show off to your friends that you can play a bass guitar and an upright bass as well in one setting... Well, at least for me it is.
