I'd be pretty annoyed if I'd put a deposit down on something like a 458 Italia

As much as I love the original Stratos and the look of the new one I dont think I would be sweating too much if I was in the enviable position to be able to buy a 458!

From what I've heard this may be a good deal faster than the 458

... which makes it more GT than WRC, sad to say. In this present age of pasenger car-related rally racing, especially with 4WD/AWD systems, this is a poor attempt to try to revive olden days.

Nostalgia is nice, but we all have to see things for what, and when, they are; charming period pieces.

Well the base which the prototypes were built on doesn't have any noted reliability issues so why should the Stratos have issues?

You're all gonna hate me, but I'm not that impressed. I didn't think the old stratos was that amazing to start with. The new one looks like a mix of other cars. From the front it's a Fiat Coupé, from the side it's a Toyota MR2 mk1 and from the back it's a new Corvette :
