But the Schwarz jump looks so short, if you frezze it on the jump and look at the banners on the right and compare it to the Block jump it could look like they are equal actuealy and the Block car is a N4 so thats a bigger acivement and thats a hang time for almost 3sec and the Scwarz jump is more like 1,5sec

    Relative speeds.

Armin goes a lot further in less time because he his going a lot faster.

Block does his thing at approximately 60 mph (Shcwarz closer to 90-100 probably) so Block is in the air a whole lot longer (making his jump the longest air time jump in a rally car) while not going as far.

It's not possible to make comparisons. In the Block case it was a jump created to a show, and the car doesn't need to do more 100km until next service park as Skoda. But that jump of schwarz as some doubts about the lenght. I know the place and i think is impossible to compare to the place where block jumped.

Why are we comparing apples to oranges ? Competition versus exhibition, come on, we are all competition oriented people, I hope.

What about elevation?? Who's got the "high jump" record in a Rally Car??? Block's jump looked fairly high up.

Mind you, almost half of the percieved elevation comes from the height of ramp itself.

Didn't Ari Vatanen jump a big one some years ago during a Dakar practice, length of 100+ meters was mentioned, but i couldn't find any links. I remember him talking about it being a bit scary though.
