Manufacturer Championships - 2008
Toyota took comfortable Manufacturer Championship wins in the Nationwide Series & the Craftsman Truck Series
However Toyota fell short in the Sprint Cup Series, 2 out of 3 isn’t bad but I imagine Toyota would have liked all 3
2008 Sprint Cup Series Manufacturer Standings
1. Chevrolet - 219 points - 11 wins
2. Ford - 215 points - 11 wins
3. Toyota - 207 points - 10 wins
4. Dodge - 151 points - 4 wins
2008 Nationwide Series Manufacturer Standings
1. Toyota - 253 points - 20 wins
2. Chevrolet - 201 points - 6 wins
3. Ford - 199 points - 9 wins
4. Dodge - 117 points - 0 wins
2008 Craftsman Truck Series Manufacturer Standings
1. Toyota - 178 points - 13 wins
2. Chevrolet - 166 points - 10 wins
3. Ford - 115 points - 1 win
4. Dodge - 091 points - 1 win

Points are awarded on a race-by-race basis and added throughout the season.
After EACH race :
the winning manufacturer receives 9 points.
the second-highest manufacturer receives 6 points.
the third-highest manufacturer receives 4 points.
