Luzco Racing signs Matos for 2009 full-time
Luzco Racing will look forward to have a full season with the signing of
2008 Indy Lights Champ Raphael Matos who will drive the #12 for 2009.

Good to see Matos get a full time seat. He deserves it. He has won in everything he's competed in so far.

What a bunch of BS. Scheckter deserves that ride 10 times more than Matos. He should at least get a ride for Indy.

Scheckter "deserves" the ride? How do you figure that? Look at his stats. (See attached.) He didn't finish a single race of the six he ran last year. I don't remember how many of them were due to half shaft breakage, but I do know he has had WAY too many of those, and not just last season if memory serves. Originally Posted by coogmaster

Here's the deal on Scheckter: He's been on five teams in seven years, enough is enough.
I'm glad to see Matos get his chance that he's earned over the years by winning races/championships.

And even then it still takes a Lights, Atlantic, Star Mazda and Form Dodge title to get the seat. Rafa is looong overdue for this chance. He's one of the best prospects I've seen come out of Brazil in my years following racing, and that's saying something b/c they have been a hotbed for producing talent. Originally Posted by Damon

Nonsense indeed when you even yourself admit they cite other publications… I wish them well but at the moment I don’t see them adding any value writing the same articles but this is my problem ...
