Raikk, the problem is the teams are owned by North Americans and it is hard to see how you could put a sched together with European cities to play the North American ones. The other issue is of course that if you had say 6 European cities, would there be enough players? Would Europeans tend to stay home? The problems of European expansion would be pretty complicated. A BETTER solution would be a top flight European league with teams in Sweden, Finland,Russia, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Germany, say maybe 12 teams total could reach a level where they could put out a challenge to the NHL teams for a winner take all Final. The economics and player supply right now just wont work I don't think.

Thats very true but none the less I hope it happens..I'm sure instead of running around from club to club Forsberg would rather stay in Sweden then a Nashville or Philly.. Forsberg really doesn't have a home other then Sweden...figurativly speaking..

Again, I'm not sure because I can't see the footage, but by the numbers, it seem that the trade of Niko Kapanen to Phoenix was a good move for him. Looks like he has gotten much more responsibility and icetime

I went to the hawks/aves game last night, and without a doubt, the worst game I've ever witnessed in the 10 years of watching hockey games live.

The Avalanche have really turned things around as of late and have been one of the hottest teams over the last ten games or so. They are but a few points behind the Flames and are looking to claw their way into the playoffs.

They are playing extremely well now.

Glad to see a hockey fan in England BTCC2.

The race for the last playoff spot in the East is down to the wire!

Habs are hanging on to a precarious hold for 8th spot with two games to play... Against the Rangers on Tursday then Toronto on Saturday! The Habs are one point up on Toronto who play the Islanders on Thursay! hock: The Isles still have an outside shot at 8th since the have three games remaining. By my understanding, the Isles would have to win all threee games, or as a minimum, win two with an OT loss (for one point) with both the Habs and Toronto losing their remaining two...

Meanwhile, if the Habs win on Thursday and Toronto looses...

Congrats Leafs, now all you have to do is wait for Islanders move. The only silver line is that now we might have a chance to get Saku Koivu to World Champions....
