Re: Rally History (part III)
Thank you all! As this project continues, I'll have more "blanks" to fill in. When completed, I'll try to post the results or at least a link to them. Thanks again for the help. Cheers

Re: Rally History (part III)
Are you looking only for results from 1958-1960?
Do you want only the highest placed SAAB? Or are you looking for all of them?Duncan Rollo

Re: Rally History (part III)
No, not just 1958 -60, but from Saabs start in Rallying in 1950 thru the 1980s. I'm looking for placements in the top 10 of any event, with the following details:
Event, location/country, Saab model, vehicle event number, vehicle registration number, finishing placement, and of course, driver and co-driver. It's surprising how difficult it is to find this information - many of the minor rallies have very little information available - sometimes even the country location is a mystery!
Thus far the sources I've used are the books, Rally Giants - 96 & V4, by Graham Robson and From Two-troke to Turbo, Saab Motorsport Since 1949, by Anders Tunberg. The data websites most used are
http://www.dlg.speedfreaks.org/archive/ ... uro.html#5 and
http://www.teamdan.com/archive/www2/mis ... iscra.html
If anyone knows of other websites please let me know. Thanks.

Re: Rally History (part III)
Do you need any Safari details? I have a book of Safari history that lists all finishers. Driver, model, but not rally number or registration number apart from what's in various photos in the books. But I don't want to waste time ferreting out data you already have.
