Doesn't vérifié mean verify in English, or scrutineer in rallying terms? If it has a scrutineering sticker in the window, surely it mut have competed on the rally - or am I mistaken?

Does anyone have an entry list for the 31st 1988 Boucles de Spa?

Many thanks again for your help!
Could it be car number 31 from an earlier year?

It could easily be Steve, but without a year to go on I'm at a bit of a loss really. All I would suggest is that it could be 1985 as the car in question was used on the Brtish Open Championship and Ypres that year.

So if anybody has either 1985 / 1986 / 1987 / 1988 Boucles de Spa entry list I would be pleased if they would scan and upload it. Many thanks.

    Hi,

    My little "CSI" contribution...
In the plate there is "Boucles de SPA-Alphonse Delettre"... According to my data base, "Boucles de SPA" naming is:
1953 to 1966 "Rallye des Routes Blanches"
1967 to 1987 "Boucles de Spa"
    1988 to 2004 "Boucles de Spa-Alphonse Delettre"
So, I think, this photo has been taken after 1988...

    Regards
    Américo.

Many thanks Américo for explaining the different event names over the years. So the 'Alphonse Delettre' part was only used between 1988 and 2004? The scrutineering sticker has the number '31' on it which means that the Group A Rover Vitesse must have passed scrutineering for the 1988 31st Boucles de Spa - Alphonse Delettre - which is what you said on the previous page isn't it Juha?

However, I STILL cannot understand how a Group A Rover Vitesse - which had been banned from International rallying from 31 December 1986 along with the Group B cars - would be allowed to enter the 1988 event?

    Here is the sticker again...

Does anyone have an entry list for the 1988 31st Boucles de Spa - Alphonse Delettre?

Thank you again everyone for your help - I think I'm getting somewhere, almost...
