Somebody pourait is it to say to me the name of the pilots(drivers) who participated in the rally piancavallo on 1998 with the numero N°14, 17, 34, 38, 47, 49, 52, 121 and 125

Another Rover mystery rally entry that I need the help of this excellent forum in solving!...

In 1985 Ian 'Del' Lines of Weston-Super-Mare, England bought the complete Austin Rover Middle East Rally Team which comprised three Group 2 Rover Vitesse, and enough spares to build a further four cars!

One car was registered A377 VUK and debuted in 1985 on an unknown rally in Belgium driven by Ruben Borjesson - who was apparently a member of the King of Sweden’s bodyguard!

The Rover was lying first in the event when the battery exploded due to the ‘Pavé’ roads in Belgium.

If anybody knows what event this was on, the Entry Nº, or any photos of this car that would fill an important gap in my history files. Many thanks!

A377VUK was indeed entered by Ruben Borjesson and Joe Hawkins on the 1985 Liege International Police Rally. They were seeded 1 having won the event on numerous occasions mostly in a Volvo 242. Not entirely sure what caused their demise but it was their last entry in this rally. Hope this helps you!

- in Hessen-Rally
07 Friedhelm Kissel D Alfons? Stock, I'm assuming that the co-driver is Hans-Dieter Stock instead of Alfons: The (logical) reason is 1) in my DB Alfons is allways a driver. 2) I fund in some german results Hans-Dieter as Kissel's co-driver (for example in:http://www.rallye-magazin.de/forum/s...t=6160&page=3).

- In Skoda Rally, I have already Sjunning in 5th (confirmed with in el mundo deportivo july 18th 1980...) Here is my top 5:
1. #??? John Haugland (NOR)/Jan-Olof Bohlin (SWE) - Skoda 130 RS - 4H27:06
2. #??? Jirí Sedivý (CSK)/Jiri Janecek (CSK) - Skoda 130 RS - 4H32:05

- Alpin: maybe COLETTE Galli as Joseph Grindou codriver's (like in MC1980)

- Scottish rally, I think that Gallacher co-driver's is John Eyres (instead of EIRES) they were scotish rallying champions that year...

- Galway: I'm assuming: Austin McHale/JOHN McGee (same team as in RAC 79), John Price/HUGH Wylie (as in RAC81) and Donald Keating/NICK Condon.

- Vin: token from el mundo deportivo... I've cross checked with the 1980 switzerland champship and your data seems to be correct!
Now, Bregnard's co-driver must be Jean-FRANÇOIS Bühler

And finally, still missing 10th on Scottish Rally.

Thank you for some corrections or additional information.
Alfons Stock was not sure so he was attached with "?".
About Rally Skoda there are two versions of result. Some say Sjunning was 5th and Blahna 8th (a.o. M.Holmes) and other (including all known to me Czech or Czechoslovak sources) say that Blahna was 5th and Sjunning 6th. Now guess who is right.
10th in Scottish were: Geoff Fielding/Tony Goulding-GB-Escort RS1800.
I noticed you are looking for start numbers too. Here you have top 10 numbers from Varsovie: 2, 3, 4, 5, 12, 22, 8, 10, 18, 20.
Rallye Skoda numbers: Haugland 2, Havel 8, Valousek 20, Ferjancz 7.
