    DTM Series on TDR3 - Rd 1:Eurospeedway

Welcome to the first round of the re-born offline DTM championship on TDR3.
If you haven't already, look at the other thread to add your name to the entry list and then you're set.

This will be run with your OWN SET-UPS and with PRO-SIM handling. The calendar will be flexible with races once or twice a month.

The first race will be Eurospeedway. Qualifying starts now in time trial mode. Post your times here, updating the list if and when you improve (can be updated as many times as you like).

johnny shell is the official 'leader' of this series, so I'm sure he'll add something if I've made a mistake or missed something.

    Let the DTM series begin!

never driven the DTM's in pro-sim... should be exciting!

actually I did - once, by accident. Every time I touched the brakes the car spun out. Then I learned about adjusting brake bias.

oh - here's our official caveat for all the series -
*corner cutting and dangerous driving OFF. But keep two wheels on the track at all times (unless you spin off or whatever)*

oh yeah - how many laps is it going to be? 10 maybe?

The race could be 10 laps, yeah.

I assume you can have as many quali laps as you like.

What an error - obviously it should be TRD3 not TDR3!

yeah, qualify, test, & do as many practice races & restarts as you want is the norm.

we can do more or less that 10 laps if you want.....

really like these cars on pro-sim.

I guess we'll just leave qualifying open until everyone who wants to submit a time is satisified with theirs.....

oh yeah - here's a little something I used to do on the 'old' series -

Round 1 of the new 2008 TRD3 DTM Championship takes us to the German city of Klettwitz, which is near the Czech and Polish borders in the region the Germans call Lausitz.

The track was officially opened 2000. It was talked about as early as 1986, as a way to invest in the former East Germany and utilize the space left behind by some of the old open coal mines.

The circuit has many configurations, including a 2 mile American-style banked tri-oval, and a 11 km endurance circuit (which has yet to be used, except for testing).

It is here that Alex Zanardi suffered a terrible crash in an Indy Car race, losing both his legs.

He has since returned to competition and has won in the FIA World Touring Car Championship, driving for BMW.

This even is ran in horor of him.
