It took me forever to find a picture of this, but after much searching, I 've finally found a decent photo of Jody Scheckter's McLaren M23 with the number zero on.

    Yay me.
The Old Republic was a stupidly run organisation which deserved to be taken over. All Hail Palpatine!

I have a bookmark to chicaneF1.com with the full list. It isn't that much longer. Apparently that site is down (permanently?) so I can't find it now. If the site is still alive, it's fairly easy to search by car number and get the answer.

Within F1, it's just Scheckter (two races) and Hill (two seasons). And the largest number to have been used is 208 (put your anorak on if you know who)

why did scheckter use 0 in the 2 North America races in 73? In the other races he took part that season he was #30 I think.

Yes - and the number 208 chosen because, I believe, the car was sponsored by Radio Luxembourg - whose frequency was 208 MW

He only carried #30 in the British GP. I've no idea why the 0 in the North American races
