One man's arrogance is another man's self-confidence.
You need a certain degree of self-confidence/arrogance in order to be successful in your chosen proffession.
Many of us, including myself, could be considered "arrogant".

Things have been said about him as a person, especially when the pressure is on, I guess the test will come if the McLaren fails to perform.

I quite understand the need for safety briefings but the threats and it's how it's being communicated that seems to me extremely heavy-handed. And the similar NW Stages closed-road rally didnt...
