From what I've seen of the 2017 cars, the Fiesta doesn't seem to be lifting its nose on jumps as badly as the others. I'm sure the Citroen & VW were landing tail-first much more on their Finland tests.

Is the Fiesta not going as fast, or have M-Sport sorted their front aero better ?

Just have a look on the front ends. Fiesta definitely has the most extensive aerodynamic package in DTM style:

Fiesta shares some of that issue, especially yesterday on faster road, but in general it looks more stable. My friend commented today that Fiesta is "visibly going crazy fast". He has seen all new cars several times except Hyundai, and compared Ford's speed being at level or near VW and Citroen in tests he has seen. It's just a gut feeling of course, but you can sense difference with eye and ear too.

    EDIT: Few photos from today:

The Hyundai team conducted a meeting this week of five days of testing on the ground. A dual purpose for the team with 2 cars: test for the next rally of Great Britain with the current self and develop its i20 WRC 2017 on land.

Monday, Thierry Neuville took place aboard his usual mount to prepare the next round of the championship on a land base of the south west of France already used by Citroën and Ford several years ago. This year, the UK is soon to leave the final round up of the season in Australia and the conditions are different. The base offers many comparable undergrowth at the British track but the mud is not present, but the humidity is not as important as what we used to see in Wales. It remains to see what comes of it on site at this time ...

The next day, rebasing for the team that installs assistance with 2 cars: the current i20 is driven by Dani Sordo and finally with 2017 WRC Thierry Neuville. After prolongs the suspense about his future, the Belgian has decided to stay with Hyundai. The team was able to finally invite him on a development session. Thierry Neuville was the few drivers of the current party platform (with Mads Ostberg) not having run in 2017 with a version testing. At the first attempt, it seems that something is not appropriate: the car is returned quickly to assistance for a small part of mechanical. Later in the morning, the Belgian will enchainer few runs. This Hyundai, like other 2017 model is powerful: it tumbles on this track like a missile. The sound that emerges its new engine pleases the ears and hunting is clearly open: it hard slap to shift! But Neuville seems to remain cautious on a fast but narrow path, raises are powerful, but braking is cautious, while the drifts restraint. Clearly it takes the driver to take its brands with this new car that is more of new generation.

On the other path, it's Dani Sordo who makes the runs on a more spectacular special. It can be seen piloting a quite different: it feels like the total control of the car and a certain ease to enroll in the trajectories. The Spanish rolls over his teammate and allows himself to be very generous in some curves. Despite a less powerful car, fun to see progress self is more important to this side. The more technical track with curves and a jump combos promotes the show. The Spanish will stop around 17h to go to the next track in spectator watching his teammate at the wheel of the car in 2017.

Wednesday, moving without assistance but by slightly adapting the plots, Dani Sordo took place aboard the car in 2017 while Hayden Paddon was preparing GB with the current i20. The Spanish know a little self, he seemed more comfortable. For two days, the team changed its base. First with Hayden Paddon who used the current car and the 2017 frame on the same route. If the morning the runs were echainés, the afternoon was much prolific run with a single. Thierry Neuville took over the wheel of the i20 WRC 2017 today. The Belgian is the only one who enjoyed 2 full days with the i20 2017. But Neuville days of running to catch up driving new cars. Hopefully this is not the first argument at the start of next season. But why would he need such arguments to explain its position? This car seems not so bad! It seems powerful and effective, hope the team could resolve recurrent problems of the current car's behavior with a new design, it could give a good fight all before 2017!

    Very interesting rumour from Finland:
A certain 4-time world champ was invited to test the prototype Ford Fiesta #WRC2017
