What would you choose to rally if you had £150k to spend on a car?

Time for a daydream. Hypothetical question... Following the FWD vs RWD thread, I was surprised to learn how many FWD fans there actually is, got me thinking what I'd do if I won the lottery, had the budget and time to fully get into rallying in its current climate.
For me.. it would be Andy Burtons Peugeot Cosworth and the BTRDA or Scottish National Championship primarily because thanks to the pathetic MSA, it will be banned in 2010. I just think it is the ultimate mid engined car in performance, looks and engine.. its just so right in every way possible. Once that was banned I'd try and build a mk2 Escort just like Colins. I'd embarrass myself I know... but you only live once.

If you had a budget of aprox £150k to spend on a car and the budget to run it in whatever championship you chose what would you choose and why?

    Can we have 2 choices?

My first one would be a Hyundai Accent Ev.3 because the style of that car was stunning and when it was under idle, the car had a sound of it's own! (more of a personal choice than competition one)

Second choice would have to be a Peugeot 206WRC because they were just plain cool and very competitive!

I'll stick with my Charade GTti for the gravel, just develop it a bit more. Use the EVO X Lancer for Tarmac events.

So in other words, not change much at all

You could buy a Corolla WRC for that.

What ever happened to the McRae R4?
I'd have one of those if the £150k stretched to it.

As it's similar to Burton's Peugeot-Cosworth isn't it going to be banned under K.37 rules? The MSA are bloomin' idiots banning those cars!!!

Is there a better sound than that of Porsche engined Flat-6 ???

I won't believe K.37 until I see it. People have been going on about it for years and it still hasn't happened. I'd probably have a 6r4 and a Millington engined MK2 because, even though I'm only 22, I'm a nostalgic old soul. Burton's car is far too scary for me so would just let some other idiot drive that.

A Ford RS200 with decent safety equipment!, no wait 150k wouldn't be enough to be able to run that., OK I'll settle on a Historic Motorsport Escort, could I get one of those for under 150k?

Mk2 Escort - same spec as Colin McRae's red one or Steve Bannister's new one.
