When I saw the onboard with Ogier, it looked like the surface had a good top to it, probably from the recce with cars going over it when it was damp. That looks like it deteriorated as cars went over it.
so Ogier 4th at the moment but i think he will be 5th at the end of the day
it would be crime in my eyes if Evans doesnt get the time back
I think it's fair when Evans get equal time with Ogier.
if my calculations are right and if Evans gets Ogier time
he would be second in overall and just 2.7 secs from Ott and TOP3 would be separated by just 3.4 secs for tomorrow
They probably won't do any time correction before looking at whole onboards.
Neuville still standing still
According to eWRC, Evans got same time as Ogier.

yep, it has been corrected also on wrc plus
so like i said, TOP3 covered by 3 seconds....which can change of course after street stage
God dammit Thierry.
He makes lot of costly mistakes honestly. Shame to say, I wish he would get that one title but on such a short season things like these are horrible.
Thierry still not moving
So lots of penalties for being late? Or exclusion? Getting to lower points would be crucial!

From the Adamo interview after the stage it sounded like they had issues with other tires and he blamed Pirelli. (very indirectly though)
But as I said they had issues with excessive tirewear also with Michelin as far back as mid 2019.
Could be something else with the tires, Rovanpera also mentioned some issues before stage.
Oliver did a huge amount of seconds to the others on SS7...
Is that one real?
AnttiL?
Honestly asking, after sauna.
That's either bug or a corrected time (for what?) at splits he was slowly loosing time whole stage and was on 6th place in stage when he came to finish.
I wonder how often you can rise 2 places to the lead when you had 5th time in stage losing 9 seconds to stage winner...
Nice to see some WRC3 driver's getting TV air time on the SSS.
Daddy's boy Oliver !
I've got no idea why people give Gus Greensmith so much crap.....actually i do, jealousy. He's setting some fast times at the highest level of Rallying. Yes we can all say well, "daddy paid for it", but the reality is that you need money for motorsport. I hope all the bitter people get over it soon, because he does have a future in the WRC.....far better than the much loved guys or the mid-2000s like Henning Solberg.
Did anyone catch what Gryazin was saying about the Kremlin at an earlier end of stage interview?
Last two rallies Greensmith has been good. All those rallies before...not really.
Sure some people react when he drives as "main" MSport driver while (multiple) rally winners like Meeke, Latvala or Paddon end without a drive.
He is nowhere near Henning Solberg (yet?) though. Henning Solberg has 6 WRC podiums and 33 stage wins! Greensmith has 0 of both.
Said after day 1:
Greensmith Gus - Patterson Chris
"I think as soon as Chris [Patterson] came into the car, he showed me the areas I needed to change. We have worked really hard and the progression has been a lot quicker than I expected it to be. I've enjoyed, but it's a shame about the puncture."
Sometimes I think it is strange that a works team let young drivers keep their "Highschool sweetheart" co-driver.
When Petter came to MSport his norwegian co-driver was kicked out and an experienced father figure came in. It is so much else than reading notes at the rallies. Amongst other the drivers need to hear where they are lacking skills, and get a push. That is easier to tacle from someone you know have more experience, and you respect than a friend your own age!
phewwww, what a day. only a one stage caused a lot of action but still.
Sordo even had a puncture on liason coming to Lousada stage, how unlucky you can be.
Nice ending of the day for Tänak, despite some problems and wrong setup still has the lead.
Ogier again showing his amazing skills when to push and when not.
Really surprised with Taka and Greensmith, really good showing today from them.
sorry for his fans if i offend them but Loubet has to go back to WRC2 IMO.
Amazing fights also in WRC2 class and also very close gaps.
Bring on tomorrow mega day.
