First time I did Touquet in the dry, what a fast rally. A lot of (big) crashes this year.
The pace in the Clio Trophy is just incredible. Not suprising they crashed 10 out of the 36 clio's, of which 8 heavy...
We finshed 47th overall and 12th Clio, happy with the progress we made over the rally. It was a good preparation for the Belgian Clio Trophy.
And this coming weekend, Rallye des Vosges Grand Est :)
Rally 2 entrylist less spectacular than in Touquet :mark: but a few more cups to follow ;)
Interesting events at Terre d'Occitanie. Such a shame Manu Gascou had to retire, it was a nice throwback to see a 207 S2000 take the fight to the R5s. :)
In the end, the favourite Consani retired as well, and Benjamin Clemencon won in a Sarrazin Motorsport i20 R5 in front of Léo Rossel and JM Manzagol. Féraud with the C4 WRC ended up 5th. Volant Peugeot was won by Mathieu Franceschi, with over 2 minute lead. Quentin Ribaud won the Clio Trophy.
Very wet conditions for the first cars and a drying road (Gascou was 20th on the road) made him leading after day 1. But still a good result!
Consani damaged his car on a jump, Rossel lost 2min with an off on SS2 so should have won without that.
Mathieu Franceschi was amazing with even a 4th time overall, he wasa 8th overall after day 1.

It is incredible that a car from 1996 is still competitive on stages. Well done Seb.

Loeb is just doing...LOEB :D
He could beat lots of drivers, by just riding a bicycle :bounce:
What happened with Loeb on the last stage?
Car failure. Dumpers, gearbox
Let's not forget that the kitcar is lighter than current R5 cars, it weighs just 960kg. Also the stages in Mont Blanc are very well suited for cars with less traction (see also the times of Cédric Robert in the Alpine). Anyway, still amazing performance from Mr. Loeb. It's an old, delicate car to drive. In the first stages I was a bit disappointed when seeing him, thought it would be more spectacular. But towards the end of the rally it was clear he was really pushing it! Amazing to see. Delecour (also 306 Kitcar) and Panizzi (Hyundai R5) were visibly a bit rusted compared to the others. Panizzi himself admitted he couldn't find the rhythm and was afraid to make a mistake, he said he even didn't really enjoy driving, which is a shame.
I was at the Mont Blanc to spectate for the 2nd year in a row. Amazing region, beautiful stages, and a great entry list including the ultra-competitive French trophies. If any rally enthusiast ever goes to the French Alps, try to combine it with a visit to this rally, you will not regret it. Just take some good walking shoes and a lot of courage for some long and steep walks.

Hi, does this part of the forum still have some persons with knowledge from rallies in Provence region? Checking the routes of some known rallies in Var and Bouches-du-Rhône region from rally-maps.com, it can't be left unnoticed that e.g. in Rallye du Var or Rallye de la Sainte Baume SSs has been mainly using the same roads from year to year. Would there be any other potential roads available that have been used in these rallies earlier on in the history? Last bigger difference found in the rally-maps.com is, that 2002 on Rallye de la Sainte Baume there has been SS using D141 between Cassis and La Ciotat, and 1992 on Rallye du Var there has been SS using D2816 south from Six-Fours-Les-Plages. Also it seems that many rallies on Var region has suffered from bad weather year after year, which is a pity of course.
Yes, Var is a bit extreme when talking to weather. Burning in summer, heavy rain in autumn.
Are you looking for potential stages for Motorsport Games ? :)
There was a rallye in Brignoles in the 90's too, but I don't know the stages. Same for a rallye in Sainte-Maxime. There was an event in Plan-de-la-Tour, which should have been relocated to Gonfaron this year. Stopped in 2012 after a fatal accident, should have been back this year (but Covid...).
In Saint-Raphaël, you have the Rallye des Roches Brunes : https://14a323db-2fff-4249-bd68-7103...74da68f36b.pdf
Rallye du Mistral in Aix en Provence : http://asaaix.free.fr/mistral2019public.htm
For many people including me this is something I have never expected to see. An RGT car won an event with a very good R5 competition and morever in a very dominant manner. Nicolas Ciamin won the Rally Antibes with the Allpine!
https://www.ewrc-results.com/results...te-dazur-2021/
Rallye d' Antibes has finished today, and Nicolas Ciamin has won with the Alpine! Camilli finished 2nd, Bonato 3rd. Other than Ciamin, three other Alpines have finished in the top10.

Congratulations to Ciamin, but... do they have different RGT rules in France?
Terre des Cardabelles was also this weekend. In the end, Gascou won in front of Mordacq (+1,9s) and S. Consani (+40,5s). Féraud in the C4 WRC finished 8th, but is still leading the championship with 110 points in front of Gascou (102pts), Clemencon (100pts) and Consani (97pts). The title to be decided between them on the final round, Terre de Vaucluse.

I really thought Ole Christian Veiby would dominate the Rallye terre du Vaucluse from the first stage today saturday, but finally he's quite far behind Stéphane Lefèbvre after SS3(first loop), and battling for 2nd position with Stéphane Consani
All three drive a WRC(Hyundaï and DS3)...
Bonato new livery for French championship, and three ERC rallies
Amazing livery imho, one of the best i ve seen.
