nice drive from Evans considering road position to Ogier. He lost to him 15,9 sec at 95,25 kms
news flash ! Ogier complained about the running order !
Whiny Seb is back. Why didn't he retire the last event in order to get a better road position here if it's that important?
Did Ogier expect a running order change at midday like previously ?
Turkey also:
"Saturday is the longest leg of the weekend and is unchanged from 2019. It journeys west of Marmaris and packs 107.38km into three tests, which are driven morning and afternoon. The loops are divided by service, during which the running order of the top drivers will be reversed".
Neuville passed Ogier.
but with a a very long first day with 148.46km

Rally Estonia Leg 1 was 148km, whole rally 2 days
Sardegna Leg 1 is 95km, whole rally 3 days..
Very good day by Suninen. Second place behind a guy with the best road position (Sordo) is a top job.
Speculative...., and there's a lot of rallying to go...., but if Thierry can get past Teemu, things could be looking better for his championship again. Hyundai could even make Sordo hand him the win and if Evans is down in 5th etc, championship could be back on for the Belgian going to Ypres and Monza.
I'm sure a lot more twists and turns to come
how is the manufacture points till stage 6?

From 9 points down to 9 points ahead
Virtual manufacturer #WRC points if rally was to finish after SS6
Hyundai 165 + 25 + 15 = 205
Toyota 174 + 12 + 10 = 196
Dose anybody know why Greensmith can get a full seat since so many talented drivers have no car to drive. Did he bring huge sponsor for the M sport
Ciamin with 5th time overall at ss 6
Only 3 cars left in J-WRC that hasn't retired for the day. Must be very rough for the Rally4-cars.
Estonia was driven in a shorter format, forest stages only on Saturday and Sunday. There's even an article on this in the sporting regulations.
This is not true. Only the two stages on Friday were driven in championship order and then Friday standings were reversed for whole Saturday.
So far, hats off to Sordo, Suninen, Solberg and Rossel (big surprise). Gutted for Tanak; hopeful for Evans.
Rovanperä announced it was steering issue on SS5/6
interesting, it seems the last two stages suited Hyundai more?
actually 3 last stages today were Hyundai 1-2. ok road position has a big say here too, especially in the case of Sordo but Ott started from third and set also very good times on last two stages and on SS6 it was even Hyundai 1-2-3.
another rally where Neuville has a slow start, and ups his performance later on stages.
This thing has cost him a lot
you dont have to tell me that :D
what i meant was they werent so fast in the morning, well okay you could say Neuville wasnt because Sordo was but not also on SS1 and on SS3.
anyway new day tomorrow, pace wise Loubet is catchable for Tänak but thats it basically.
Will be interesting to see how long Suninen can hold on to his pace and yet AGAIN we have tasty fight between Ogier and Neuville.
Esapekka Lappi Rally
@EsapekkaLappi
Unfortunately we won’t be back out again tomorrow.
Our pace was really promising so it’s really disappointing that things had to end the way they did. It was all over pretty quickly to be honest: steam from the bonnet and there was no water left in the engine. Thats all folks!
Onboards from this morning are on WRC+. The video of Suninen from SS1 is just stunning!
