Check out around 1.5 kms. There's a hole in the forest, a tight right with house on the outside, and then the sequence of the corners matches the video again. Remember that Hagfors is different this year, same as 2013 Värmullsåsen

So next question to you guys having the Magazine:
Is it possible to get to junction from south? Or is road closed to that point?
One week until the rally, snow situation still looking good and the forecasts are still giving minus degrees. The snowfall situation for the opening day will be interesting.
They put the stages online also. Not marked as entry road on the map.

Just so everyone knows the spectator access is all on the website this year as well

Just pick your stage and all the info is there , map and information.
SubaruNorway any recommendations this year for places to view on the Friday. We went last year to places you had pointed out and have to say it did not disappoint. Going back this year and also going to shakedown on the Thursday.

Hyundai preview
I can swear the beginning of Hagfors stage was different on the early maps on the official Rally Sweden website.
Now I recognize the start better. Been there once. Good places about 1,5 K but also after only 500m there´s a tricky one.
Forecast today says quite a lot of snow Rally Sweden weekend ....
Accuweather says now no snowfall for the whole event in Torsby (including Thursday) except for little snow on Saturday morning. Also some snow on Svullrya on Friday.
Yr.no says a bit snowfall on the night between Thursday and Friday.
Foreca does indeed give snowfall from Thursday to Saturday, but I don't trust it so much.
I'll add it myself so you don't have to make a reply: it's too early to say.
SMHI.se forecast, I know it's early but it looks scary. 19cm of extra snow Th-Su...
Most likely the parking at stages will be big issue this year, access roads are narrow and fields have 60+ cm of snow. Thank god we rented 4X4 Volvo for this year.
This is according to swedish https://www.smhi.se/vadret/vadret-i-...#tab=0,chart=1
Let´s wait and see. Forecasts as you say often changes dramatically in a week.
Well I said Toyota really should be winning this event due to the huge testing advantage they've had on the other teams (and the fact they won the event last season too), however the road order on day 1 seems like it could be a massive factor in the result. So Mikkelsen is in a superb position to take advantage, and we know the Hyundai was supremely fast here last season. Difficult to tell what Paddon can do and where his mind is, but he also has a great start position. After losing places on the last stage in Monte, Lappi could be a dark horse as well and along with Mikkelsen, will be thinking he could make a bit of a gap on day 1 if things go well.

Yeh, if it's very snowy, Ogier, Tänak and Latvala may be in trouble, whereas Neuville will have an advantage. Østberg, Suninen and Paddon are starting as last WRC cars, but will they have more or less advantage from the road position?
Starting order should be:
1. Ogier
2. Tänak
3. Latvala
4. Meeke
5. Neuville
6. Evans
7. Lappi
8. Mikkelsen
9. Breen
10. Paddon
11. Suninen
12. Østberg
weather is extremely unstable right now, so forecast now is a bit pointless, if you look probablility maps, then we can expect 1-45 cm snow during next one week:) Only sure thing is that it will be unstabe, that means some strong wind, some snowstorm, some rain, some snow, rapid temperature fluctuation. So, please take very windproof clothes and be ready for wet snow and cold :)
absolutely agreed...thats why i dont agree that Toyota guys will definitely win because their starting position is a disadvantage. Last year Neuville was 8th on the road on day one and he had a 28 sec lead after the day and 43 sec lead on day 2 before he binned it.
Although Ogier - Latvala - Tänak started as the first three on the road and they did actually quite good being 5th, 2nd and 3rd respectively after day one.
So, my money is definitely on Mikkelsen/Neuville and Lappi being the dark horse.
Yes, Paddon too if he has regained his old form
and you never know with the Hyundai guys, Mikkelsen and Neuville on the paper but they tend to do some little mistakes which turn out to be costly or then the car has some issues...
My guess is a big lead for Mikkelsen after day 1 and Ostberg and Henning Solberg pretty high in the standings after day 1!

3 pages of Pickem so far and not once Ogier has been picked as winner. Must be the first it happens in years!
One dark Horse in Rally Sweden and very good starting position on friday stages..

We’ve just completed some good test kilometres in Northern Sweden. It would be amazing to challenge for a podium again. Perhaps that is a realistic goal for @RallySweden

Greate forecast...
I reckon the Toyotas are going to be the ones to beat but they will push each other so hard that two of them will make costly mistakes.
I feel the Citroens and Paddon will be nowhere due to lack of form and preperation.
Neuville will make a silly mistake again somewhere, while Mikkelsen will be able to show more consistency.
Ogier despite his road position will be able to salvage a podium. Evans will have a couple of spins which will land him a lower midfield result. Suninen will play it safe to start the season well and by making no big mistakes he will get very close to the podium.
Let's see how well my crystal ball was calibrated.
I wonder if there's a heavy snowfall at thursday night, would they plow the roads before the stage start.

Finally Citroen's preview as well
Ostberg:
"With the bigger snow banks this year, the roads are likely to be narrower and more technically demanding, so perhaps we Scandinavians may be able to take advantage of our greater experience in conditions like these."
Bertelli not starting :(

Waisting M-Sport's test days. What a shame.
