I bet you're the goalkeeper. Hence you like Higuita

More melomaniac than tifoso.....
Now back to topic... Or gadjo gets mad :p:
So my thoughts about the quarter Finals.
France v Germany - I think this will be a really great match. Maybe the best of the tournament. France just need to find their attacking flair again, like they had early in the tournament. I think they could win this, however despite defensive issues, I personally always believe Germany will find a way to win. Whatever I really can't wait for this one.
Brazil v Colombia - I have not been impressed with Brazil. Really Neymar in early matches dragged them through and they were so fortunate to win v Chile. I believe Colombia are a tiny bit better than Chile at the World Cup and will again give Brazil a real match. However I always think Brazil will beat other South American sides. Generally they do, however due to not having to qualifying, they haven't played these nations for a fair while. So maybe the exciting Colombians can do something. All in all I think Brazil will win, but I will be supporting Colombia all they way. (Sorry Gadjo ;))
Netherlands v Costa Rica - Costa Rica have been amazing so far and finished ahead of Mexico in Qualifying and Mexico came close to beating Netherlands in the last match. However common sense says Netherlands will finally finish off Costa Rica.
I think they will do so, but you never know. I would see this as the least close of the QF.
Argentina v Belgium - I haven't a clue about this one. Pre tournament I though Argentina would be quite flowing and despite a great Belgium side, I would have thought the Argentines would finish the Belgians Tournament easily here. Now though Belgium have been average and Argentina have been dull and slow. I guess they way Belgium will play will be more open which could favour Argentina. I mean Bosnia, Iran and Switzerland have all sat very deep v Argentina and given them no space and all were dull matches. The match against Nigeria they went more attacking and Argentina looked alot better and they conceded too. So maybe if Belgium attack we could see a high scoring game, with Argentina attacking better but conceding more. Overall I would maybe see Argentina edging it. Messi will again be key. He scored created the first against Bosnia and scored the Second. He saved them against Iran and scored 2 of 3 against Nigeria, and then finally created the winner against Switerland for di Maria. So its clear Messi is Argentina at the moment and I will be interesting to see if Belgium go for it or whether they look to stop Messi and render Argentina toothless.
USA bros, if you understand Spanish, I suggest to watch the Univision or whatever was the Spanish language channel that run the WC. The English language channel commentary sounds like a funeral and makes you want to switch the channel. The guys on Univision sound like poets and opera singers.
Personally, I think we have a pretty amazing line-up of games in quarter finals. Every team deserved to be in the quarter-finals (probably, because I watched all Group of 16 games, except for Colombia and Uruguay's)
By the way, where can I sign the petition to deport all Belgians from the United States?
Germany - France. I'm not a fan of any of these so all I hope is a spectacular game - like that semifinal in "82 ( minus the Battiston -Schumacher incident), probably one of the best matches I've seen at a WC. I want many goals, suspance, extra time and penalties. In the end, for Taz's sake I wish Germany will win dramatically so he can have the opportunity to consolate his blue bataillon de femmes françaises. :p
Germany vs France is ready to go.
I expect many goals from both sides since Gemrany has a great font line but αλσο a terrible defence.
Good morning football freaks ;)
I'm really geeked about this match, and hope I'm not too gutted if Germany get lucky.
I suspect France will beat them senseless, and steal their woman for the after-match party .
At least we won't have to deal with Pino being all francophopic and junk for this match
@Ody I watch in Mexican on Univision muted with an ITV stream for commentary. I really like the way the Brits handle the commentary when it doesn't involve the home team.
Guten Abend meine Damen und Herren
Bonsoir Mesdames et Messieurs
Guten Tag & Bonjour..................guys and gals
Oh sh*t!!
Germany started well....
Now France have the best effort so far.
1-0 Germany...............Hummells
balls :dozey:
no wonder it's so quiet here at work
Now we might find out more about this French Mentality. I mean often France crack, but this World Cup people have said they are strong. Be interesting to see whether Germany can cause some cracks.

I'm late to this game and haven't had a chance to check if any streams are ITV!
Balls!
Where was the defence?
Au revoir France ! :p:
Where is Ribery? :p
France is quite slow.
France look dangerous at times, but I feel Germany have the power in the game though.
balls....great save
Cannot believe France could not do anything better than this.
Can't believe it's such a boring clash.
I wonder if France were a bit overhyped after seeing performances since those first two.
I mean they looked awesome against Honduras who were weak and Switzerland who seemed amazingly weak in defence in that game.
Since a lazy performance v Ecuador and against struggled against Nigeria until later on.
However Germany give you chances so its far from over.
Not a good game so far.
But still better than a concert.
Stuck at the airport, can you guys keep me updated please :p:
Thanks steve !
Deschamps fell asleep on the bench and woke up around 70th minute.
France running out of time. 10 minutes left and they are not creating enough good chances.
