I think the most difficult thing is to live in a place where you can´t see a proper sun for half a year and where they say that last year the summer was on Tuesday. But this needs different people and I am agree that it is difficult for the person from Mediterranian.. It would be difficult for me in there not to have everlasting days in summer and snow in winter and darkness to feel warmth inside rooms:) I know many people who have been working in our University and when they are telling honestly then they say that its very hard for them to get used to our winter and climate.. on the other way around, Japanese people really enjoy our winter.. my boss says that it is really, really cold in Nagoya and Kyoto in winter but here it is always very nice and warm (inside the room I mean ;)). And all the work with Japanese is a bit slower than you might want, so, if you sum it all up then these can cause a person to move away from Finland indeed;)
