it doesn't matter... WRC retirements from mechanical issues are very rare nowadays only that junk village team have them...

Wow Evans is now fast
Tanak hit a big stone with left front wheel.
Tänak hits stone quite heavy - not a fault of Toyotas engine
Now Paddon finally outdid Tänak's first split
Sordo flying.
Stage appears to be cleaning a lot with later runners recording faster 1st splits than Ogier and Neuville. Wow, look at Paddon's 1st split!
Sordo, seemingly in the twilight of his WRC career, is pulling out some top stage times lately. Not sure where this has come from!
Paddon!
Not a good start from Toyota boys.
Two gabbage-sized stones in the ideal trajectory i believe.
What I saw it was just after going wide after exit of a righthander with an lefthander coming up directly. Might be wrong.
Missing split for Ostberg - likely a timing glitch?
well, he could have avoided those? or not?
ah nevermind, definitely i wouldnt call it a mistake.
shame, i think he would have fought for victory
How, after coming from a righthander? Ideal trajectory and speed calculated in recce. Not so easy.
wrong picture
Greensmith faster than Tidemand on split 4. Tidemand probably with a problem.
Rear right puncture for Tidemand
Shame that for Tanak and the team, sheer bad luck it seems. Thats the kind of thing that usually affects Meeke.
Championship could've looked more congested at the top between 4 drivers, had Tanak not had bad luck that was out of his control in Mexico and now here (unless this retirement was his mistake? I've not seen it yet but it sounds car related again). And had Meeke not had two podiums taken away due to the co driver error in corsica and the unavoidable puncture in Argentina.
Shame, but the Toyota cannot be trusted despite the clear speed they have. If Seb and Neuville get decent to good finishes here it'll be hard for Tanak to catch Seb considering how consistently quick the champion is.
rallybase have paddon and sordo mixed up....
Puncture for Nordgren to ? 1 min 12 s after fastest WRC2
Bad start for the Skoda-crews.
Neuville again slower than Ogier on the splits. Perhaps the cleaning needs more cars to pass and Ogier is better at managing it than Neuville?
Looks like problems for Nordgren on SS2 as well.
Skoda might have a fight on their hands to win this one for a change.
Meeke on the road repairing: "They have cleaned the roads up quite a lot, taken out some of the big rocks which would stop you cutting and that's good, that's made it more enjoyable. But this layer of sand on the top of the road is too much."
This didnt help Tanak did it...
