Simone Campedelli wins the rally! It is probably his first win ever in the Italian championship. Congratulations! :)

So some consideration and anedoctes from this Ciocco:
Nucita spun in front of me yesterday:
look at where he stopped: a dozen of cm more and he would have been in the ditch.
It was only one corner before the finish :)

Fabio Andolfi was next to me spectating in another stage. He is a nice guy, he was talking about what to improve in the 124 Abarth and about spectators throwing snow in the stage at Montecarlo.
Really feel for Ucci and Scandola, mechanical failure are always the worse. A shame that Peugeot, the only official manufacturer of the championship is still not able to deliver a reliable car after all these years.
At the same time I'm very happy for Simone Campedelli and Pietro Ometto who really deserve their first win at CIR. Being so close to Andreucci that was born in those street is a proof of how much these guys are the one to watch.
I'm very sorry to have miss the chance to watch Kalle at full speed. He has a long way to go on tarmac but it was his first event on this surface, against driver who drove in those streets for decades. Still I'd rate this debut very high.
Now we just have to see how the learning curve will develop, if it will be steady or he will learn quick to master this new surface.
My GF still loves me after having walked 10km to reach stages, risked our life leaving one stage (we were going away from the stage after one car passed and there were soon another one we didn't hear and we were in the street, likely we had a place to go), and Nucita spun putting his nose not far from where we were. :D
Overall classification taking into account the stupid and overcomplex point system of CIR
Campedelli 16,5
Perico 11
Andreucci 7,5
Chentre 6,0
Scandola 4,0
Rusce 3,5
Ferrarotti 3,0
Nucita 1,5
Thanks for your report! Very interesting comments! But I don't understand one thing. How come Fabio Andolfi was a spectator and a competitor at the same time? :)
Peugeot lost two potential important victories this weekend - in Italy and Belgium and the only one who kept the Lion flag up till the end was Loeb with historic 306 Maxi...
