Nice scenery, well captured cars, no doubt.
Canary rally pictures just feel so lame, you actually can't make a difference if the car is standing on the corner or driving. I never get this feeling with rally Croatia pictures or in general with gravel rallies ones.

At first, I´d say Toyota team (read Juha K) should have given Oliver some good advices before going into last day of competition. Telling him not to go flat out, just to hold on to his 2nd position. Did they do that or let him just ride alone?

Secondly some thoughts of tyre choice. Needing 4 softs for PS, where did he put his 2 hard tyres on second last stage? In front? Or Rear? In front; did they cause some slightly more understeering (it was also a slight lift just before)?

This is not excuses, only a way to understand if there were things contributing to the outcome... ;)

Edit: Now, I´ve seen the Dirt-fish on sight report from Olivers crash. I think Oliver did a good answer to what went wrong. My analysis feel still relevant in some parts.

Not to drive. You misunderstand me. It´s about tactics and age.

You tell me no other WRC driver goes off after 6-7 events in Rally1 car? Don´t think so. But as said it´s about tactics.

Solberg has already said he wasnt pushing and was behind Ogier on the splits at the point of the off.

It was a tiny mistake that couldve happened anytime, plus the previous run of the stage was damp so it was his first run at full speed.

The gap in the barrier taking the wheel of was also a bit unlucky

Well Solberg had been faster than Ogier on the two previous stages.

Plus bear in mind that Solberg was coming off two bad scores on his last WRC events and would want as many Super Sunday points as he could get...
