No. He won IRC.

@Cali : agree with you. Katsuta improved a lot during rally, actually. ;) ;)
Heavy artillery on a stage. Neuville -6.0 on 1st ^_^
As last year, Live TV stages waste too much time on slow Mo replays and showing start launches..

Adamo won't be happy
Loeb got stuck, lost lots of time!

Oh how lucky Loeb was
seems like Neuville is going for the win.. faster than Ogier and Evans
We get to see 20 seconds of driving every car. I can't believe it

im getting the feeling you both and many others here dont want to admit the Toyota actually isnt that much faster and better car like many expected. It also seems to me it has hit Ogier too when he sees the times at the end of the stages at thats why he isnt so excited.
Evans who in 5 WRC starts never was better than 6th in Monte and never really fought for podium either now immediately fights for win. Tanak went from easily beating everyone last year (on speed) here to crashing from 4th.. but yeah Toyota is bad.
Try harder...I am sure you will as the year is long.
hehe, totally fine. im not saying he wont be dominating in the future, you never know when something clicks suddenly.
But i mean, the one and only rally where you expect Ogier to win and dominate no matter what the car is Monte Carlo, his record here speaks for itself.
He was beating Evans left and right in M-sport days and is now struggling to match him the whole weekend.
too early for conclusions guys!
Veiby blocked the road,stage cancelled
where did i say the car is bad? and one crash in 2 years now means he cant drive at all?
i too expected Ogier to come here and dominate, most of all because of his Monte record no matter what the car but it hasnt happened, like i said it doesnt mean it wont happen this season.
Evans has had this sudden performance rises int he past too, Corsica 2019 the recent one. im not taking anything away from this weekend, he has been brilliant and i wish he would win.
SS14 Update
Veiby's Hyundai i20 has lost a wheel and it sounds like he could be blocking the stage.
Stage halted
Organisers have decided to halt the stage. More news as we know it.
yep, cuz he felt OK with Fiesta basically straight away, getting some experience by every next rally. Now we got a 1 WRC rally winner beating 52 times rally winner and 6 times champion. It's not happen for nothing.
Loeb told as yesterday that he can't much Yaris speed cuz it too fast car. For me a point of 9time WDC matters and I believe him. And you?
Low speed from Ogier now only cuz he cut off himself, to prevent crashing. 3rd pos it's better than retire. Only JML and Meeke didn't know that.
PS Ott will lose this champ for sure. 2nd or 3rd this a question. He's move and reaction from Toyota was like crying kid.
I can see exactly the same kind of frustration on Ogier's face like in previous year with Citroen. Wonder if his wife is gonna tweet about "Shitoyota" anytime soon.

There
Nobody said that, just that Tanak was slower on Monte this year in i20 than last year in Yaris, which is a fact.
In Corsica 2019, Suninen in his first rally in WRC on Corsica almost beat Sordo and decimated Loeb and Latvala. So Fiesta totally wasn't a bad car there, proving the point here again.
Huge sudden changes in driver performances are mostly down to car (and ajusting to it). This has been proven over and over again in last 20 years, yet some people always blame the driver (or applaud him). Going from Martin's change from Ford to 307, Solbergs decline in later Subarus and then suddenly fighting in the top in C4 and very recently with the likes of Loeb forgetting how to drive on tarmac right after winning a tarmac rally.

I believe there's a difference between "bad" and "not being dominating". Can't interpret everything as one wants to think. When it comes to Ott's speed, he already seemed faster on the first stage of Friday. Can't make many conclusions based on 3 stages. Nobody knows where he would have ended up on Sunday afternoon if it wasn't the crash. Let's wait and see at least couple of rallies and hopefully there will be 4 top drivers fighting for championship this year.
Because this broadcast is targeted to "regular" viewers who might get confused if the car switches in the middle and then cuts to someone else's interview? I dunno. We understand this sport, but it's complicated to explain for the average man down the road.
I agree that it was dull to watch, but I also try to understand why they chose to do it like this.
One thing that people forget that performance is not just a simple sum of driver and car performance. They much match together, it's more like a chemical reaction. One car suits one driver better and vice versa.
