Hope that new car was be better for Ott, and this was what he wants from old Hyundai team and didn't get. Hope that Sweden and rest gravel rallys will be better for him

Oliver do it much nicer - and got penalty. Do it lame as Munster - and FIA says it's OK.
:/
In rc4, eliott delecour won 12 out of 15 stages driven.
In rc3, arthur pelamourgues won 13 out of 15.
Both classes didn't have that much cars, but still remarkable for both.
Ingram did the same in 2023.. did he get a penalty? Don't remember..

Seems that FIA doesn't like Solberg, Neuville and Ogier.
I hope so, the Hyundai as it is now is clearly very tricky to set up. It seems the window is very narrow. When it’s in the window, it is probably the fastest car, but that’s very difficult to achieve consistently. We saw him absolutely fly on Saturday afternoon, but most of the other times he was not that fast.
Neuville had road position advantage, but even then wasn’t really convincing and Fourmaux just looked like he was bullying a car that was to use a British term ‘sketchy’, he did well, but it was clear the car was fighting him.
The car has always been very loose at the rear, which can be fast if it’s under control, but very easy to sap confidence if it’s too much.
If Solberg had gone for points and won, what would FIA have done?
I’m very hopeful. He seems different this year and more like confident in the interviews and even with this car he showed on Saturday how fast he could be when he got the balance right with the new tires and the conditions were stable.
I’m not a specialist but I have so far really liked the testing videos with the 25 machine. No corrections any more at mid corner and the car seems much more stable and reactive.
But test is a test. Anyway, we will find out soon how it really is.

Here you can clearly see the difference between Toyota and Hyundai in the fast muddy corners, Toyota definitely much more stable and easier to drive..
Yep. Hyundai stiff as a brick but that’s old news
Keeping tyres warm @140kph :)

Practically every rally he is penalised. But yeah, always get huge fines instead of DNQ (as many would like to see), so how again he was saved? I just pointed out that these 3 usually gets some sort of punishments like the FIA isn't looking at no one else in the world rally championship world. The real villain here is FIA with this non-sense rules. How many times did drivers crawl to the finish and save their rallies. Or drift and make some kind of show to the fans. It was always part of this sport and how are they manage to boost fan engagement if all this things will be taken out. Crews will become too tight, don't want to say anything, even probably will not smile anymore, since those up there will also forbid that too. FIA is complete joke, and I personaly would rather be happy if the whole WRC would be under some other sport organization (better at managing) or even individual crew.
I think they were lucky to get away with the penalties they got.
Don't forgot, Oliver's mum is the chair of the FIA's WRC Commission as well... Maybe this is favourable treatemtn?
Solberg just did it just better..

Penalties aren't supposed to be equally distributed, if those 3 are more often breaking rules then they will get more penalties.
Public roads are generally place when rally drivers are supposed to drive like regular Joe, not to do show. I think it deserves some penalty but considering it's Fairmont, it should not be harsh, more like reminder to all drivers to keep in mind safety of other drivers and pedestrians between stages.
In terms of boosting fan engagement, by giving that penalty FIA made more people aware of this drift. Monte wasn't scoring round for Solberg so ending with 15th place instead of 13th is not "real" penalty but finger wagging.
A driver retires if he can't fix his car from having only 3 rotating wheels. Neuville could and did fix the car, so what retirement are we talking about? He got the fine because he didn't repair it immediately, which he should have. He could have maybe received a time penalty, but he finished 5 minutes ahead of McErlean, so it would have made no difference.
Ogier, on the other hand, escaped any type of penalty for Ingrassia not bringing the time card with him in Sardegna 2018 and for the chaos he made on the road section of Croatia 2021.
I should say it was more or less expected drivers should make some extras in that corner. Lot of spectators used to what historically always has been a part of the rally.
i found a better one
