Geez Nikolay showing the difference between ERC and WRC there....
Massive shame for Williams. A great chance for him thrown away.

Yes, it's definitely back and forth for Mabellini
Armstrong off the road after being distracted by water on the screen... :(

ah mate what a bummer for jon. after that qualy i thought he would be right on the front
maybe the weather. All these drivers started about an hour+ later from front runners
Cachon No 62 Neuville and Evans about No 80
According to all the info I have, there was no rain. Only thing I can imagine is that there was some temperature drop as they start actually ca 2 h later (in the morning it was 2 h and 7 min later, so the last stage should have started at around 19:27) and there were some interruptions in the stage as well (maybe even later then). So, they might have started even later. also the light starts to drop later on (many forest sections on last stage). Finally, Evans and Neuville are running Hankook like Virves, they have only hard and soft option (+ wet). When ground is cooling, I don't know how these tires react, definitely the WRC tires are more for durability than performance.
Strange what happened with Ostberg. A bit of mud in the pedal and he had brakes overheating, talk of turbo issues...
Well, I'm hoping Mabellini can overtake Suarez, but Suarez does look pretty good.
More trouble (transmission) for Mads on the final stage, dropping 2 places.
Better action and sound than Rally.tv...

Another great video:

Very tricky roads! On these roads the Rally1 cars are not more entertaining to watch than the Rally2 imo as they have too much grip.
The Citroen looks very neutral, the Skoda twitchier but can carry a lot of cornering speed and the Hyundai looks like it has a lack of grip compared to the other Rally 2s.
And that's the highlights !
I've given up on watching it (apart from the WRC which I get as part of TNT Sports and I can record and FFWD through the boring parts). For ERC I just follow the times and stage end comments. Watching the fan videos is the better option for enjoyment and the real rally experience.
Decent event summary by Dirtfish:

This young guy Perez Sergi junior showed some very good speed and no mistakes at all considering he is just not even 21 years old....Is he that good ?
It is very difficult to compare Cachon and Pardo with others from ERC field. They were starting almost 2 hours later, so they had completely different conditions (on Saturday morning they were driving on completely dry roads when the first crews still had it damp and cold ; in the evening it was opposite with temperature) plus Cachon received very well notional time on SS 4 despite he didnt do any km on it. And temperature change can be very important, in the morning there was at the stages around 6°C, in the afternoon 26°C... Another thing is also tyre choice strategy - all participants had limit max 16 tyres, but ERC field was doing also doing qualifying stage so they needed to work with proper strategy and were not able to use hard tyres for whole rally. Non-registered crews did only shakedown which is not counted to the max number of tyres, so they had more free option to use only hard tyres. Like I told on beginning, difficult to compare.
Top 5 Dramatic Moments of Rally Sierra Morena 2025. I especially like Roberto Blach's dramatic save :)
