All he can do is his best to limit the gap so it is not higher than 30 points come tomorrow afternoon.

Kalle rovanpera is still pretty slow. Is his car older ford or what is going on. He was as fast as tideman last year one rally when they both have skoda R5
R5 results clearly showing how good D-Mack is in this rally.
interesting interview on finnish tv from yesterday. Hänninen said Toyota collects so much mud on the rear that it affects hadling. Car 100kg heavier on weighin when they return from stages
No. Kalle's car is old chassis without EVO1. Car not full EVO2.
Suninen is FULL EVO2, Kalle's no. EVO1 and 2 have chassis upgrade that can't be applied in old cars.
I thought Kalle was being run by M-Sport hence switch from Skoda to Ford?
Anyway, I don't see any reason to panic. The boy is 17 and I guess this is his first proper rally outside Latvia..
Did you guys expect him to take a class win or something on his first WRC2 event? He's got to rack up the experience. No point in pushing too hard.

I'm a bit surprised by the low number of retirements/Rally2 so far. Only Breen got stuck in a ditch and Østberg had his technical problems, still 11 WRC2017 cars running without major issues.
No reason to panic with Kalle. This is just the difference between top level and national level.
At Latvia Kalle was driving as a home event, he has been driven there more than Finnish roads. Pontus was there at his first time and the target was just getting familiar with the conditions for the Rally Poland, not driving against Kalle.
I guess this year has opened the eyes of Kalle to see this sport in completely different angle. In Italy (CIR) he noticed the challenge of the tarmac and this experience in Wales is a good lesson also. Now he definitely knows the level and he knows that it needs a lot of work to get to the top.
During the next three to four years we will see the results if he is the young talented driver which almost everyone thinks he is.
Yes, in fact Kalle was bit faster. Both of them was in TGS cars, both in new roads, they never driven before, Kalle lost rally by 9.8 sec, while lost ~17.6sec in one stage because of power steering issues (if I remember correctly). Does Pointus drive not flat out?, I think so - it was preparation for Poland, did Kalle drive not flat? Who know, but he never had accident on gravel, so could be. Kalle is fast already, maybe clock not always shows that, but it's only due lack of experience.
Hopefully this is the right place to post.
I'm attending the WRGB tomorrow up near the Brenig. This is my first ever rally event so wanted to get input on good places to watch from and things I should be aware of as a "newbie". :)
10sec penalty removed for Mikkelsen
Shoot.. Juho crashed..
aaaaaaaaaaaa HOW?
Hit a tree, broken suspension.
I cannot recommend spectating at Wales Rally GB enough, a lot of stage variety and excellent viewing areas. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2qfo7LJGz94
