Evans saving tyres.
Looks like Hyundai really did make some improvement on tarmac (first time since 2017 Spain). This kind of stage used to be a disaster in the past now they looked good in the corners and decent times. Loeb much slower than last year but seems to be improving.
The drivers and team told you they brought better upgrades pre Spain 2018, it's your fault you didnt listen or chose to ignore it (because Mikkelsen was so bad in Spain).
They haven't brought further upgrades here, although have maybe fine tuned setup better. The next updates are coming later in the year.
No -one is judging yet just said its a gamble.

@TeemuSunine Under strict instruction to finish the rally and get the experience, our young Finn still has the monkey on his shoulder 🐒 #WRCLive https://t.co/SHMCGy7st5
Bonato retired,Camilli still dominating winning all stages so far
Yes they did bring changes to front suspension to Spain 2018 and I was the one who pointed it out here, even referencing to the homologation documents. (in times of internet this is searchable history, so stop lying)
The point is that it did not bring any noticeable improvement for any of the drivers. Neuville and Sordo did typically 2-4 times in 2017 Spain(on dry tarmac) and did the same in 2018 (mostly in wet), and finally dropped to 4-5 when it got dry.
Now there is a noticable improvement, without info on what precisely it is caused by. (only big change was new engine in AUS/Monte)
Ogier pre event press release quote... ' Our pre-event testing was really productive and the feeling was good in the car.'
Very strange... it's obviously something they don't understand, otherwise they should have been able to fix setup at service.
Some slow pace visually from Meeke after 1.30min on stage
At what km the gravel part is ?
Imo the most likely thing at Citroen is that they didn't focus on developing the tarmac car cause it seemingly was good enough from before, while others moved on.
So, on this stage the big changes should come, or not...
yoann bonato @yoannbonato
ES8: We stopped in the special, the car does not want to start ... I tell you more quickly.
oh it was close for Loeb
And spun
...and out?
...no, just turned around.
Ogier has a green first split for once!
first small alert with a tree and huge with that oversteer. Looks like Loeb overdrive himself.
This stage looks incredibly difficult and we've not even seen the gravel section yet
He slid wide and dropped in the ditch before stopping and reversing back onto the course. The car seems to be OK.
And now all they follow is Loeb...
Go Suninen
Suninen lost 5s to Ogier between 1 and 2. split
huh, Sordo
cmon show us that gravel section
Lappi losing a lot of time?
Great first split from Sordo
Geez... I feel for those who pay to see this feed.
