It's muddled thinking; a sprint event is still a sprint event whether they have a mid day service or not. If they want proper Endurance, then increase the mileage!! This is them trying to prove a point. You can be out of the event because of a minor 'repairable' problem - not sure they've thought it through properly.
wrc2: split1 Lappi and Suninen at same time... finish time Lappi slower 8.4 sec!!!
Pressure is on!
It's all over. If Meeke lost 4 sec to "very fast" Ostberg at home soil... it's not a car "limitation" :(
Why is Meeke so sh*t?
The performance of the Citroën are disastrous this morning! It is true that, there is more to lose than, to win in these conditions. They can be in Test in the real conditions
Well, that i20 R5 isn't really setting the world on fire yet..
"A transmission issue on the opening road section means @KevinAbbring and @sebmarshall have had to pull out from today’s stages."
Must be a reason, he's not that slow...
No motivation if he cant fight at the front ? Wants to finish to add to experience looking to 2017 ?
SS10 for wrc2:
Split1:
Lappi +0.0
Suninen +0.1
Split2
Suninen +0.0
Lappi +0.2
It's a fight! :)
Tanak: "You need some proper hairy balls to be fast in that one. Maybe I was a bit chicken!"
:D :D
Meeke SS10:
'It was quite foggy, quite tricky and you don't want to risk it.We'll continue to drive and get experience.'

Looks like we have another Ostberg in the field.

Meeke had two punctures already. So driving to get thru.

Hmm i don't remember Ostberg winning two rallies out of 7 starts this season. Or pushing Ogier hard in a battle for the lead on the Monte, or generally being the 2nd quickest driver in Sweden and Corsica too...
He's struggled on the gravel in Spain and been off the pace so far in Wales which will be frustrating for him on his home event, so it's somewhat understandable he might be having a moan or saying stupid things at the stage ends. Meeke probably thought he might have had a chance of fighting for the win before the event started, so i can see why he's pissed off. He also doesn't have driver or manufacturer points to think about either which is worth remembering, so ofcourse he's going to lose a bit of motivation knowing he can't do better than 5th in current circumstances.

Meeke just has lost something in the last rallies. Absolutely different guy than in Portugal and Finland
What happened to Abbring? Did restart today, but never started into the stage.
Found the answer - Hyundai Motorsport: A transmission issue on the opening road section means @KevinAbbring and @sebmarshall have had to pull out from today’s stages.
What a disaster
If Meeke HAD to fight he would... like here last year when he ensured the points for Citroen to beat Hyundai in the Manufacturers Championship.
WRC.com
Meeke had two slow punctures and has used all six of his soft compound Michelin tyres. He has five more stages to complete before the end of the day with no opportunity to take onboard additional rubber.
I would not be so result-oriented with Meeke. He is just not having a good weekend. It happens to everyone unless they are called Sebastien.
Some people are so fickle... Meeke is great when he's taking the wins and fighting with Ogier... but a soon as he's not, he's a different guy, or another Ostberg...
Support him if you are a fan.
All these people bagging Meeke, can't you get the picture that he only has the tyres on the car to finish the day. One puncture and he is out. I would drive safely in this situation and go for the finish. Have been in a similar situation myself with 2 punctures early in a rally with no service. Backed off and went for points and experience rather than a podium.
Yes I have done some rallies, over 300 and still counting so I do know a little bit about this sport.

Looks like another stage win for Tanak ! :)
Half time that Suninen gat over Lappi on first 3 stages today (-12.4) - he lose at SS12 (+5.7)
Lappi fights back.
Hope first spit of Mikkelsen ir actualy truth.
