Does Thierry's onboards are available in WRC+..?
Paddon
"Great day to maintain P2 & extend the gap behind us. We were advantaged by road conditions on 1 stage that helped us close up on Sebastien for the lead - but it's a battle we were never drawn into. We have been happy to continue at our pace as 2nd would still be a great result. In the future we will fight more for that win but a little more work needed on my driving and car setup before that - but we not far away Emoticon wink. 1 more stage tomorrow to try & bring it home."
In my opinion he is the most clever driver of WRC. I don't know how many others, with their first rally win at 8 secs, would not have thrown their car into some trees...
Lots of broken driveshafts on this rally... these pictures make me wonder if the sharp drop off the edge of the main road surface is the reason. I may be wrong, but these pictures seem to show a very deep, sharp drop which seems to lower the inside wheel to its fullest extent.
This may mean the CV joints are operating to their limit and beyond, causing the failures?
I may be way off the mark, but I would like to know what some of the forum engineers / experts think..
Cheers.
Can't help with that, sorry, this is more what lines every driver takes through the corner, of course there is physics behind this, which can lead from one problem to another, but I'm not that stress expert. For sure Meeke line is the worst in terms of performance and keeping his tyres.
Yes, You did. Latvala crashed in SS9 and restarted only with superally.
just watching Motors TV coverage now... Pardon's driving is sublime.
I think he will be a contender in most loose surface rally's this year.
