Tanak is being crushed by Neuville here. But it will be interesting to see if this pace from Thierry is safe enough - Adamo sounded a bit concerned
Two slow punctures for Thierry too
Tanäk implying there's something bothering him worse than dropping 16s.
"You are 16 sec slower then Neuville"
Tänak: "Believe me this is the least the worry"
so there probably is something
Why doesn't Tanak just admit if he has a problem? Or say if he doesn't have the feeling etc.
I’m amazed that Thierry hasn’t had anything with such a speed

It's only SS3 and it's already been a massively tricky morning! We worked on the car ahead of SS3 and started the stage very late, but we made it through slowly (stage was red flagged) and we keep going

Regrettebly out for the day, because of a water leak Splashing sweat symbol and engine overheating
We’ll bring the car back into #service and will repair it to rejoin @wrcsafarirally
tomorrow.
This is a tough event…
Oliver should be awarded notional time if the stage was red flagged, correct?
He has a time on ss3 on ewrc but it's 11 minutes down.
In theory he should be late for time control also for ss4 since he was going slowly through ss3 and the schedule is based on competitive speed.
11 WRC cars started the event, in first 4 stages:
* 3 retired (Evans, Sordo, Bertelli): edit: +Solberg
* nursing (Ogier) +Tänak?
... and now comes 2nd pass for the same loop.
How many minutes behind are the local Rally3 gang starting?
sad that Prokop is the only WRC2 guy that comes to Africa.. and isn't shown on AllLive..
On such a tough event wouldnt it be worth carrying a few more spare parts, like a danper which is likely to break ?

Either ss4 is also red flagged or Solberg is indeed nursing a problem.
He's maybe 1/5th into the stage and is 10 minutes since start and the others were around 12 minutes.
Admittedly the GPS dots aren't always 100 percent correct.
Tanak mentioned slowing for buffalo on the last stage ?
Taka had to use his drinking water to fix the radiator :D

Oliver is still making it through the stage, incredibly slowly.
Must be nursing a problem at that pace.
Nasty crash - crew taken to hospital with broken legs !

Ok so just for curiositys sake.
You have a problem with the car and the stage gets red flagged. You limp it through and gets a notional time.
Can the stewards award you a different time to everyone else who drove through the stage because they judge that you would have lost time compared to everyone else or is there a rule saying everyone gets the same time regardless?
Evans retirement was clearly his fault.
Solberg also did hit he bank as he said. So much that the collision warning started flashing.
Ogier had 2 moments, might have been the damage started on one of them.
Sordo is a bit unclear atm, maybe broke steering before the crash.
I mean compare it with Sardinia where all kind of cars started breaking by themselves immediatelly (Rovanpera, Greensmith, Loubet).
2nd pass will be much rougher though.
Watched the Sordo onboard and it looks there was a big rock in the middle of the road just before the crash
Just read an update saying Solberg retires from roll cage damage which is surprising to me.
The suspension is hanging from the car, but how the roll cage is damaged is a mystery to me.
That's definitely rally rally over.
